This article will guide you through the steps of using our new editor. The Editor will give you a fully customized experience for all your needs in terms of creating a survey.

Dimensions
Once you open the Editor, a default dimension will appear. By selecting the Dimension field, you can type in the name of your dimension.
If you would like to add a new dimension, whether it is with or without characteristics, simply:
- Navigate to the sidebar on the left-hand side
- Click on New Dimension
- Proceed with naming it and adding statements

Note: You can always hide the Dimensions section by clicking on the arrow.
Comparative Agility gives you the ability to add dimensions from our genuine surveys:
- Open Genuine Surveys in the upper right corner
- Locate the desired survey
- Expand it to find the dimension that suits you best
- Drag & drop it to its most suitable place

Statements
Clicking on the + icon gives you the option to create a new statement. After entering your statement, you will be presented with the same set of options available for all other statements, such as question type, tooltips, anchors, recommendations, or conditions. We will cover each of these later in the article.

Question type
You can choose from several question types, including Fist of Five, Likert, Multiple Choice, Open-Ended, Ranking, Satisfaction Index, Scales, and Word Cloud. Based on your survey’s goals, you can use one question type throughout or mix and match different types across your survey.
To change the question type, simply click the dropdown menu and select your preferred option.
To add answers, click the field and enter your responses. For certain question types, you can also rearrange the answers by moving them up or down to get the order just right.

Tooltips
Tooltips can be utilized to provide additional information about statements to survey respondents, thereby enabling them to answer questions more accurately. To add a tooltip, simply select the statement and type in the necessary information on the right-hand side.

Note: You can easily upload an image or delete the tooltip altogether.

Anchors
With the Anchors option, you will be able to modify the statement’s possible responses. You can select from predefined responses or add your own custom response. Additionally, this option allows you to enable or disable the ‘Not Applicable‘ choice, which is commonly used in our standard surveys.

Reversed scoring reverses the scores assigned to each response option so that the highest score corresponds to the most negative response and the lowest score corresponds to the most positive response.

Note: If you would like responses to appear vertical, proceed with enabling the option on the right-hand side.

Copy and Paste statements
If you would like to copy and paste an already existing statement, simply select the statement, click on the Copy Question option, select the statement under which you would like to paste the copied one, and proceed with the Paste Question option.

Recommendations
This option will allow you to see current and create new recommendations. Select the statement and open the Recommendations tab to use this option.

Conditions
Conditions are essential annotations that surface when users select specific answers. These comments serve to offer further context into the rationale behind the user’s selection of a particular response. Conditional comments can be applied across various statements as deemed appropriate by the author.
To add conditional comments, select the statement, open the Conditions tab, and click on the Add condition option. Select which anchor will trigger a Comment Box.

Link to World Index
By default, each statement in our genuine surveys is linked to the World Index; this option allows you to remove that connection.
In the screenshot below we show you how to unlink the world index

Note: Once this connection is removed, it cannot be reestablished.
Delete Dimensions/Statements
To delete a dimension/statement, navigate to the desired dimension/statement and click on the Delete button.

General Settings
Comparative Agility offers a variety of options that you could utilize in your surveys.
In the screenshot below we show you where to find the general settings

Comments
- Enable End of Survey comment – a comment section will be added at the end of the survey, giving the respondents a place to share their thoughts
- Enable Optional Comments – will give the respondents the possibility to add a comment tied to a specific statement
- Randomize anchors – will give the respondents the same anchors but in a different order

Recommendations
With this section, you have the ability to enable/disable recommendations that will be shown later on the report:
- Author – Created and edited by experts and authors within Comparative Agility, author recommendations offer specialized insights tailored to specific assessments.
- Custom – Users have the ability to create their own recommendations, allowing for a personalized approach to improving agility within their organization.
- CA-Curated – These recommendations are generated by AI and curated by Comparative Agility experts. They provide valuable insights based on data analysis and industry best practices.

Anchors direction
Comparative Agility gives you the ability to choose between descending, random, or ascending anchor direction.

Anchors
You have the flexibility to select from a range of Anchors, including Frequency, Level of Agreement, and others, or create custom anchors.

The Apply to all statements option will set the same anchors for all the questions in your survey.
